Webinar Description
Achieving and sustaining an optimal level of engagement, at work and in other life roles, simply involves matching levels of challenge and capacity (both individual and contextual). However, what happens when challenges such as the COVID-19 crisis impact your day-to-day activities?
Career Engagement is a model co-developed by Dr. Deirdre Pickerell, Dean of Student Success at Yorkville University and Dr. Roberta Neault, President of Life Strategies Ltd. and Project Director for the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF).
Join Drs. Neault & Pickerell as they discuss how to stabilize your career engagement during chaotic times.
- Learn how to take on appropriate levels of challenge and to identify and access the supports and resources needed.
- Consider all of your life roles and how they impact each other in a career context.
- In Dr. Neault’s earlier research, “optimism” was the single best predictor of both career success and job satisfaction. Leave with concrete tips for staying optimistic and moving your career forward, regardless of the unique circumstances that are impacting you today.
