Work BC Advisory Committee

Similar to our Rural & Remote Action Committee, we will be convening Work BC contractors to discuss the current contracts to identify what is working, what needs improvement, and what we would like to see for future contracts. Some meetings will be for prime contractors and some meetings will be for subcontractors. 

ASPECT will serve as an administrator to these meetings, but the content will be wholly member-driven to inform and support advocacy to funders.

We will host a series of meetings between May and October. Our first meeting will take place on May 4 and then we will continue meeting on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 1:00 - 2:30. Each month will focus on a different topic which will be identified in the first meeting. To participate, please sign up for the session that most interests you and for which you have something to contribute.

Goals

• Proactively discuss and identify what is working with the current Work BC contract as well as what needs improvement.
  
• Focus on problem solving and collaboration with the funders.
  
• Create content for a white paper to inform government for future contracts and to present at the ASPECT Conference
