CDP Bootcamp

Presented by Life Strategies Ltd & ASPECT BC

The CDP Bootcamp is a 5‑week online professional development series for new and experienced Career Development Practitioners. Each module blends practical tools, updated frameworks, and sector‑aligned best practices with direct connections to national certification standards and CCDP pathways.

Format & Delivery

  • Weekly modules – released online each Monday, with activities available through Sunday

  • Live interactive webinars – every Wednesday at 9:00 AM PT (75 minutes)

  • Self-paced learning – readings, exercises, and reflection activities you complete on your own schedule

  • Capstone Project (optional) – an applied, reflective project that deepens learning and counts toward CCDP certification (adds 15 minutes to the end of the live webinar).

Attendance Commitment

The CDP Bootcamp is an interactive program designed around live participation. To get the most out of the experience — and to support your peers in small-group discussions — we ask that you make time to attend. If you are not able to attend a session, you may defer it to a following series.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should register?
The CDP Bootcamp is designed for both new and experienced Career Development Practitioners (CDPs). It’s ideal for those seeking a strong foundation in the field, a structured refresher of current best practices, or professional learning hours toward CCDP certification.
Will webinars be recorded?
No. Because of the interactive and reflective nature of the live sessions — and to protect participant privacy — webinars are not recorded.
What if I miss a session?
If illness or unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending, you’ll receive complimentary registration to attend the missed live session in the next available Bootcamp cohort.
How much time should I expect to commit each week?
Approximately 4.5 hours per week: 1.25 hours for the live webinar plus ~3 hours of self-paced readings, exercises, and reflection activities. With the Capstone Project, add about 1.5 hours per week.
What is the Capstone Project?
The optional Capstone is an applied, reflective project that helps you integrate your learning. It can be completed in multiple formats (paper, presentation, visual) and counts toward 30 hours of informal learning for CCDP certification.
What certificate will I receive?
  • Certificate of Attendance: a certificate is awarded upon completing each module.
  • Certificate of Completion: awarded for completing the full series plus Capstone Project.
Do I need to attend all five webinars?
Yes. The Bootcamp is built around live participation. To get the most out of the program — and to support your peers in small-group discussions — you should plan to attend all five sessions.
How often does the Bootcamp run?
The Bootcamp runs three times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring). If you can’t make the upcoming intake, you can join a later one.
